Any flywheel returned for core value must not have any damage to the ring gear, clutch surface or the dowel area. Normal wear to the clutch surface and slight wear to the ring gear tooth is acceptable. Look at every tooth surface as some areas wear more than others. Slight nicking at the front engagement face of the tooth is OK. Some wear at the flywheel seal area is acceptable. If yours needs a new ring gear it must be exchanged for one with a replacement ring gear. Flywheels that have 11/32-dowel holes or non-SPG 8mm holes or deep rust are not acceptable.
