Proper Bushing Used

No, I do not use a needle bearing in our rocker arms! Why? Because the rocker will rock back and forth on a single needle or two, having little contact area. People trying to solve a rocker arm seizing problem with needle bearings should cure the oiling problem they are having with their engine case, as there is never a seizing problem with properly designed products and correctly modified cam followers. Furthermore, as stated earlier, the needle bearing shafts must be much smaller than stock, tremendously reducing its strength and must be much harder or brittle for the needle to run on. Any good engineer knows a needle bearing is designed to rotate round and round, not rock back and forth and that the correct type of bushing should be used for maximum contact area in a rocker arm. That is why I use the highest strength "steel back" bronze bushing available.
Our massive oversize diameter 8620 heat treated shafts are used to stop unwanted flex and breakage. Naturally, the shaft was designed with our bolt together design we invented for the stock shafts in 1969. Our stepped shafts (larger in the center) eliminate side thrust loads from one rocker to the other, further eliminating unwanted noise. Extra large stand blocks are designed correctly to fully support the shaft and bolt directly to the head without shims for maximum seating stability. Furnished with (4) GB 409A super strength 4130 studs that are 0.200" longer, plus 4 heavy duty heat treated 8mm head nuts with the 15mm wrench size to assure the best possible securement to the head. Since each rocker's bottom is fully machined, proper clearance to head stands is assured along with proper thickness for strength.
Berg's 4140 rocker arm forgings are first heat treated to maximum strength and then precision machined on the latest computer controlled machining center. Every rocker arm is machined on the same single fixture to ensure the exact same ratio, accurate lift duplication and arc on the valve pad end. The valve pad radius is designed with minimum wipe against the valve stem end with valve lifts to 0.775", it is then flame surface hardened on the pad and precision finish ground. The Berg rocker sets are unequaled in today's market and are offered in 1.40:1, 1.45:1, and 1.54:1. Just think, no more DNF (did not finish) due to breakage or seizing from inferior rockers. Unmodified Berg standard rocker arms are guaranteed against breakage and over 30,000 sets have been sold, yet not one has had to be replaced due to a failure of the rocker arm.
