Camshaft only

    To purchase gears to go with these cams see, GB 330, 331, and 334S. Gears come with bolts and washers. If purchasing a cam only and you need the bolts and washers but not a gear order GB 324A bolt/washer kit. Works with all GB oil pumps or oil pumps made to fit 3 rivet cams. Made in the USA. SW 5# for all camshafts.

    Warning (again): All cams with the "A" at the end of the part number are normally used for race applications. If used for street far more wear will be encountered and far more maintenance will be required. Spring, guide and seats will need to be checked on a regular basis.

     GB 295  Short duration high lift for small class race engines with stock carb such as 1200cc. Designed for short course or off-road racing engines. Not recommended for street engines with stock carburetion. Delivers tremendous torque when larger engines up to 2000cc and/or carburetion is added.      GB 296  Excellent low-end cam. Used with 1300-1700cc, one 2-barrel, 2 single barrel such as GB 477A Solex Kadrons, dual Berg 42 DCNF Webers, or equivalent with little or no headwork. Good low and mid range to about 5000 RPM. The more headwork the stronger, smoother and higher RPM it produces. Required GB 273A springs. 276 duration, 0.374" lift at cam.      GB 296A  Short duration high lift cam with very fast ramps. The ultimate for both low end and top end. Specifically designed for 1200-1700cc short course or off-road racing classes with limited carburetion. Can be used in an all out high performance street engine. Excellent for heavy cars (Super Beetle or Baja with large heavy tires) with 1600-1900cc or larger engine. The more headwork and carburetion the better it works all around. This is our GB 296 with the extended nose and fast opening ramps and more lift for higher RPM with headwork and dual carbs. Slightly more valve train noise and faster wear than GB 296 due to these faster and higher ramps.      GB 297  Best all around street cam ever made for a VW. Two-barrel carb or 2 single barrel GB 484, GB 477A or 42 DCNF Webers or equivalent is required. Stock heads will work, however, a set of our stock size valves, ported and polished heads provide smoother operation. Works fantastic with GB 855 heads to 5800 RPM.      GB 297A  Same duration as GB 297 with extremely fast ramps and higher lift. Gives good bottom end and extra RPM range. More all around performance than GB 297. Can be used with smaller engines but will idle rougher and lose low RPM power unless dual, dual throat carburetion is used. 1500-5500 RPM with head work.      GB 301  More duration and lift than GB 300. rougher idle and higher RPM range. More top end, less low end. The larger the engine, carburetion, better heads, and exhaust the smoother and better the bottom end, yet still gives the extra top end. Requires GB 273A dual springs shimmed to 0.070" from coil bind.      GB 302  For the more radical engine. The larger the displacement and the more head work the better the performance and the smoother it runs. Commonly used in hot street cars with 1900ccc or larger motors with dual, dual throat carbs and head work. Requires GB 273A dual springs shimmed to 0.070" from coil bind and if used for higher RPM purposes use GB 269 triple springs. 2500-6500 RPM range with dual, dual throat carbs and proper head work. 308 duration, 0.405" lift at cam.   $156.60   $109.50   $109.50
