     LA CASE005  Chemically clean case. This provides more than adequate cleaning for final assembly. No need to remove the gallery plugs. Does not remove the factory pickling preservative. This is the "green" or "gold" color that is not to be removed.   $50.56   $35.36   $35.36 
     LA CASE010  Bore for larger cylinders up to thick wall 88mm or standard 90.5mm (94.4mm OD) cylinder sizes (head studs removed). Stock case has about 0.012"-0.020" clearance to the cylinder. If this clearance is not present, alignment of piston/cylinder or proper growth may not be possible, resulting in loss of HP or causing premature wear to the P/C and/or rod bearings.   $135.85   $95.00   $95.00 
     LA CASE015  Bore for larger cylinders such as what is called thick wall 90.5mm that have the same OD size as 92mm size, (head studs removed). This includes first boring the spigot 1mm larger than the piston size to the bottom of the case hole with proper radius, bored for cylinder size part of the way down (step boring) with proper radius, and then decking the case down 0.060" to achieve a full flat surface for the cylinder and/or spacer to seat on. This function has 3 separate operations often called step bore and face. This is the only way to achieve full seating surface for the larger cylinders and to provide maximum life. If you are getting a case from someone else, make sure they do the same machine work. I suggest you ask them how they do the job and see if it matches what we previously described.      LA CASE024-1  Clearance for stroker crankshaft. Universally done for larger strokes. Done in all areas the rod may hit when any longer than stock stroke crank is installed (such as 74mm or larger). Designed to clear our 78mm stroke (VW rod) and GB 191 rods and/or our 86mm stroke with our clearanced Carrillo rods. Slight hand grinding "may be needed" as a final step during assembly.      LA CASE038  As LA CASE037, except we Loctite and install the fitting at the sedan/bus 8 o'clock position (unless you specify otherwise when ordering). It is highly recommended that you allow us to install the fitting, to prevent you from breaking the case should you screw it in too far.      LA CASE050  Machine cam follower holes for clearance between cam followers and case at full lift, with cams lifting higher than 0.400" at the cam, or when thicker than stock followers are used. There should be 0.040" extra clearance from cam to followers at full lift with cam followers bottomed against the case.      LA CASE055  Bush cam follower holes (all 8) with silicon bronze bushings. Add price of bushings, GB 326. Yes, this is more expensive than using an aluminum bushing, however, it out lasts it by 200%. Not recommended on a new case.
