How We Make the Berg Shifters - FYI

We start with 20' long bars of 7/8" tubing with a 1/4" hole and cut it to each shifter's length to make a one piece unbreakable shaft. The pivot ball is cut from 20' bars and pressed on the shaft. This is then machined to shape on a CNC lathe. The rotational pin, flat and reverse lock out pin slot are then machined on the CNC milling machine. We micropolish the shafts, bend the ones that are to be bent and have them triple chrome plated (most other companies are flash chromed).
The final assembly is done which includes hand fitting of every shifter to the shift gate (the one it will be used with) and checked in our test stand to assure you the shifter works properly when you receive it.
