Heat-treated for maximum life. Have your flywheel machined to accept the ring gear with 0.010" to 0.015" press fit, heat the gear in an oven to 150 to 200 degrees and set the flywheel into it on a flat surface. Let it cool and it is on. It is OK to tack weld the ring gear at the inside base, if you are concerned about your press fit being properly done. See LA FLY030, also LA BAL017 as this could change the balance. Made in the USA. SW 3#
